Terracotta Soldiers

9th Feb 2024

In 1974 the “Terracotta Army” was discovered by archaeologists underground in China. The “Terracotta Army” were made to guard emperor Qins tomb, there were about 6000 of these soldiers and there could be more. The tomb covers around 32km. They were made in the Xian (pronounced: ‘shee-ahn’) dynasty. Every soldier is supposed to be unique to the other, they might be based of real people. 🤔

Today we made our own terracotta army soldiers out of clay. We obviously didn’t make 6000 soldiers, We only made one. It was very fun to do and a long enough process. 🏺💮
